She had taken a break after from mister grumpy gills after catching the Nidorans. Ivy had wandered off with her Pikachu deep into the woods. Her body felt heavy, and she leaned against a large tree. The tree had probably been there since before Pallet Town was even a thought. Her body slumped down onto the bright green grass. Her Pikachu seemed calmer than usual. Perhaps it was the harsh fight, or seeing that her trainer wasn't quite as energetic as she had been earlier in the day. The yellow mouse snuggled up to her trainer and laid it's head against Ivy's arm. The Pikachu began to doze off almost right away. A little nap after a fight seemed like a brilliant idea.
A meek smile crossed Ivy's lips as she looked down at her new partner. Ivy wanted to follow her Pikachu's example. She wanted to sleep so bad. She would have slept for days if her mind allowed her too. She definitely had tried at one point. As much comfort as a pokemon could give, it wasn't enough for Ivy to feel happy at the moment. Her mind had finally hit a brick wall, and she couldn't help but to think of her past. Her mind began in her least favorite spot, the hospital. It was only a week since her fiance's funeral. It was only a week and a half since his death. She closed her eyes and began to imagine sitting in those ugly brown chairs they had brought in for them. She could see everyone around the room, all with a shot of whiskey in their hand. Up to this point, everyone pretended nothing was going on. It was as though the hospital had turn into a strange new bar. Tonight though, they knew, he would be gone shortly.
Ivy's mind came out of the horrible memories for a moment, as her Pikachu sent a static shock through her body. Ivy rubbed her eyes for a moment, and looked down at her Pikachu in shock. "Oh my articuno! What the hell Pikachu!" The pokemon rolled on its side and continued to snore away. "Lovely, I have a pokemon who shocks in their sleep." Ivy muttered and inched a bit from her pokemon. She rubbed her eyes once more, she had started crying without realizing it. Ivy quickly looked around, hoping no on saw her. Certainly she would look like a psycho to someone else. Cigarettes were needed at this point, and Ivy didn't hesitate to take one out of her pocket. She took a deep breath in as she lit the cigarette.
((ooc: I completely understand if no one wants to join this. I'm probably going to have my character being all depressed for this thread.))
