Full Name: Thomas Gaite
Mini Profile Name Color: Something...dark green, perhaps?
Nicknames: None.
Age: 32 years old
Birthday:December 19th
Gender: Male
Showdown ID: None at this time.
Starter Pokemon: Male Squirtle. Named Arthur.
Appearance:

The most outstanding feature that just about anyone will notice even at first glance, is his height. Not only is he tall, but he is what most would call abnormally tall. When not bending or slouching to better lean on his cane, he is just shy of a towering seven feet in height, and his build is thin and lanky, almost seeming...stretched. Like his body kept growing up instead of filling out as properly as it should have, but thanks to years of work and travel outdoors, he is still as solid as a brick wall. Figuratively speaking, of course.
Nearly always seen wearing his well-worn and only slightly frayed long green coat, no matter the weather, his attire remains comfortable with little regard to how it looks, beyond remaining publicly decent. He perpetually looks like he is in need of a shave and a haircut, and almost always has a cane either in his hand to help with his injured leg.
Personality: Though far from being an introvert or purposefully keeping to himself, Thomas is noted as just not having much to say. He tends to speak slowly, thoughtfully, and in sentences as short as possible. He much prefers to offer a shrug or some other simple gesture when in conversation, and stubbornly tries to force things into a chain of simple questions to be answered. If you can manage to get him to talk about it, he might tell you it's due to spending a lot of time alone and just getting used to not saying much.
He has a fondness for travelling, and after his unpleasant early retirement, did so frequently, though it was far from easy on him thanks to his injuries, and if pressed will begrudgingly talk about his travels and what he has seen, though he insists there isn't much to talk about, and may even show scenes of the wilderness and wild Pokemon he has sketched.
Family: The only living family Thomas has any firsthand knowledge of is a brother, William, who has since moved away from Kanto. His other family is all deceased or only distant names without a face to put to them.
History: Born and raised in Pewter City....or at least born there, Thomas's early life was remarkably unremarkable. He spent his youth attending school as anyone might expect, and eventually, thanks in part to his then-living father, grew into his eventual role as a member of the police force upon reaching adulthood. He served admirably for a handful of years, developing a rapport with a Scyther he caught to assist in his duties. His normal duties didn't give him much time to engage in the more conventional aspects of Pokemon training, but from time to time he would humor other passing trainers with a battle or two.
Of course, his career, short as it was, came to an end sooner than it should have. To hear him tell the tale, he slipped in the rain while pursuing a Pokemon thief, and injured not only himself, but his companion and partner, Scyther. The injury sustained to himself wasn't too severe, only a broken leg and injured ribs, but the broken bones resulting from it didn't heal as correctly as they might have. He was never going to be able to walk completely right again. His partner fared worse, his wings severely injured in the tumble.
His pride and spirit crushed, and more wounded about harming his friend, even accidentally, he retired early, turning down a desk job, and set out to do whatever crossed his mind and keep from dwelling on forcing himself to say goodbye to his partner, and leave him in the care of a colleague. He left to wander Kanto aimlessly, and has been doing just that for the last few years.
