It was just as the shadows were recovering from their break at High Noon that Gabriel stalked into town. From his attitude, you might have thought he assumed he owned the place. He swaggered through the gate, hands in the pockets of his jacket, a huge smirk plastered on his face as if it cast in stone, and gleaming teeth bared for all the world to see. He was sure of himself, and looked like he knew exactly where he was going. Just stopping by on business that would be swiftly taken care of before he was off again.
And his business took him right up to a passerby. His grin flashing to a shade less predatory, he lifted his chin half an inch or so, leveling his stare on the other man's face. "Yo. You, with the hat. Where's Oak's lab, kid?"
The young man, not a kid anymore but not quite mature-seeming enough to easily pass as an adult just yet, made a face of displeasure at being called a kid. But he dutifully turned and pointed a moderately-sized building a short ways away. "Right over there."
"Yeah, thanks." And as if he had known the entire time, he jerked his head impatiently, as if the kid had been the one to approach him and offer the direction. And then he stalked off, not even walking around the kid. He just marched right on through him, forcing him to stagger out of the way or be knocked flat.
The young man stared after him in disgust, before shaking his head and going back on his way, adjusting his hat indignantly. "Jerk..." he muttered under his breath.
For his part, Gabriel made his way around a corner, through another poor bystander's personal space, and reached the door to Oak Labs. He reached up to pull off his sunglasses, hanging them from a breast pocket of his jacket, and paying the building a quick once-over before going inside. "Tch...this is Oak's lab? Man, it looks like...like shit." He shook his head, but his grin only grew several degrees brighter, more amused.
He didn't quite kick in the door, but he did throw it open with more energy than might have been required. It smacked against the wall with a dull thudding boom, and rebounded to such a degree that after stepping inside, Gabriel only had to reach back and kick it shut -- producing another dull thud as he did so.
He directed his gaze around the room for only a second before settling his eyes on the nearest aide. "Hey, you there. Glasses." He finally took one hand from his pocket, and gestured at the lab broadly. "Where's this Pokedex thing at? Old professor tree told me to come grab one with a Pokemon."
