Full Name: Rina Sharon Dane
Mini Profile Name Color: (o 3o) Can I get a gradient of dark blue to light blue? :3 If not, just a random blue.
Nicknames: Rin/Reen.
Age: 26 years old
Birthday: Oct 13
Gender: Female
Showdown ID: {In a bit}
Starter Pokemon: Bulbasaur ♀ Nothing particularly special about this Bulbasaur other than she has a dark green mark over her right eye and she wears a bandanna around her neck. Nicknamed Lark.
Appearance:

(Because I'm lazy.)
Personality:
Modest and somewhat mild would be pretty accurate, but she generally underestimates herself and her abilities. While she can be quite good at what she does, the figurative loss of her first Pokèmon has made her question her abilities and be nervous that she's not a good trainer, but she hides this as best she can behind a happy face and laughter.
Kind and loving is the way she turned out from her parents' raising. Always willing to share her food with others regardless of how little she has for herself, she tries her hardest to be sensitive to other peoples' needs and it pulls at her heartstrings when she can't offer things to people when it comes down to her own survival, so on she moves, head down and eyes averted.
Anger, Rina doesn't handle that well when she does get to that point. When she gets angry, it's usually explosive, and not very pretty, as she gets disorganized and violent, adrenaline causing her to freak out even worse, causing words to utterly bypass her brain and leave straight through her mouth, so to be faced with words that make no sense whatsoever would not be surprising.
Accidentally she can be a cold, heartless and inconsiderate bitch and that comes from being oblivious to other people despite how sensitive she tries to be. Sometimes she just doesn't realize or know that she's speaking the extremely wrong words to someone until after she's said it, but she keeps a smile on her face as she considers that openly recognizing what she said to be wrong as patronizing the accidental victim.
So, all-in-all, Rina's usually a pretty nice person, loving, kind and thoughtful, but she definitely has her faults for how kind and true she tries to be. She tries hard to be the best person she can, but... she's only human, she's going to make mistakes.

History:
The oldest of four, Rina grew up in a loving home surrounded by Pokèmon and love in Mahogany Town. Starting out as an only child, she loved the attention her parents and their Pokèmon gave her and was understandably not so thrilled when baby sister Dakota came around when she was 7. To her parents' relief, Rina quickly warmed up to her baby sister by introducing the family Pokèmon when she could hold Dakota. That resulted in a great many, many pictures and adorable stories of how they terrorized poor Jessie and how Jessie would get her own revenge, despite being so small.
The two became inseparable, especially when Team Rocket terrorized their family 2001. They had grown up with a Roggenrola of their father's, and had seen it evolve, only to hear that one night it had disappeared, their father coming home sporting a black eye, some scorch marks and a broken arm. Neither of which knew what was going on, but they knew it wasn't good, even if all they knew was that "the bad, bad people took July away". Fearful, they took to trying to hide their parents' Pokèmon while in their Pokèballs so that they wouldn't get taken, too. That didn't go over very well, of course, but their parents were sympathetic to their reasoning and received no punishment for it. Mommy and Daddy did take their childrens' fear to heart by keeping the Pokèmon hidden most of the time and not letting them out of the house, much to the sadness of the Pokèmon. The newest addition to the family, Holly the Spearow, caused so much ruckus that she did not get to spend much time outside her Pokèball because she was so used to being outside with the trees and able to hunt for her own food.
The next year passes without incident.
Fast-forward to the next year after that and the newest human member of the family has come, little Jeffrey the adorable little terror. The family has gained new additions to the Pokèmon family and they are Radio the Timburr, Jericho the Houndour and Taco the Geodude (blame Dakota). By this time, Holly has not quite evolved yet, due to her inability to be outside her Pokèball without causing mayhem and the star of our history has started to ask her parents for her first Pokèmon.
To side-track from the story a little bit, Taco the Geodude came into the family by way of abandoned Egg. The girls actually found his Egg while playing in woods in the backyard. Thinking it to be a pretty rock, they managed to lug it home and showed it to their father who happened to be working on a project with help from Jackson. Knowing what it was, he told the girls what it was and to give it to him, that it was actually very fragile. They complied eagerly and helped to build a little nest so that Taco's Egg would stay nice and warm and hatch quickly. One of these days, while his Egg was sitting out in the sun, Jessie was out wandering the backyard and took notice of it and, being female, had an immediate sense of motherly nature. Needless to say, she began to be a menace toward anyone that happened to get within ten feet of it. What was really irksome about this was that the location of the nest was about four feet from workshop, effectively causing a halt to Jason's work since, for some reason, Jessie's mothering nature was able to somehow render her Pokèball ineffective against her. It was a long, long three months. When Taco's Egg neared hatching, everyone knew because Jessie was going even battier than usual around "her" Egg. Squawking, only as well as a Bellsprout does, running around as fast as her little root-feet could carry her, she tried getting her human and Pokèmon companions to come to the Egg, only to change her mind abruptly and fend them off with Vine Whip and chase them away from the Egg again. The little Bellsprout did this several times before she allowed them to sit down ten feet from the Egg and watch as it began hatching, trembling so hard she was practically vibrating across the ground. Rina and Dakota watched in fascination, mouths open, while their parents smiled in amusement at the girls and Jessie, curious about what their newest addition would be like. When the glow faded away, there sat a rather small Geodude, blinking at everyone almost confusedly, then, upon seeing Jessie the Bellsprout, he cried out, "GEO!" and scurried speedily into the workshop, causing things to fall over with a crash as he tried to get away from his "mother" Bellsprout, having an instinctual fear of the Grass-type. Of course, the girls found this absolutely adorable and giggled over it, but their father wasn't so impressed. He quickly called out his weathered, yet spry, Scraggy to talk to the scared Geodude. With a nod, Jackson marched into the workshop, the girls' mother having already managed to recall Jessie to her Pokèball since she was distracted with shock that her precious baby had ran away from her so quickly. A few minutes of talking and a few cries from the Geodude, Jackson and baby came out of the workshop. Another ten minutes or so of Jackson talking to the fresh-cracked Geodude and Jackson gave Jason a thumbs-up, prompting him to bring out a Pokèball, "Well, little one, do ya wanna join our family?" Rina could have sworn she saw the Geodude blush as it saw the device and chattered a little bit; Jackson gave another thumbs-up and Jason tossed the Pokèball at the Pokèmon, ball clicking against it's fist and opening to capture and claim ownership over it. Falling to the ground, it wobbled around for a moment before giving a triumphant little beep, causing the girls to cheer and dance around, making their mother giggle at the sight. "Let him back out Daddy! Let him back out!" they cheered, giggling and laughing, eager to play with their new friend. Laughing, their father said in his bass voice, "Now girls, you can't play with him yet, he doesn't know his own strength," and called back out the newest member of their family. "Now," he said squatting on the ground, "What shall we call you?" No sooner were the words out of his mouth did Dakota proclaim "TACO!, causing the Geodude to bounce, believing this was his new name. Before their father could react, the Geodude latched onto this name and refused any other suggestions, refusing to change it. "Fine, fine... Taco it is. Well, welcome to the family!"
The next year comes and Rina turns 14 and is still begging her parents for her first Pokèmon. Little does she know that her parents are heavily thinking about what Pokèmon would suit her and plan on letting her go on her own journey when she gets older. Dakota turns 7 and gets into a fight with Holly, prompting her evolution and Dakota running to their mother, saying something about Holly cheating by being bigger than her. This makes no sense to anyone, so they go to see what she means and finds a rather angry Fearow standing outside, arguing with Taco about something. Jeffrey, having turned 1, learns that you can make Jackson Headbutt Jessie by putting Berries between them. He also swiftly learns that he can make Jackson Headbutt anyone by doing this because of Scraggy's tendency to Headbutt anything that makes eye contact with it, though Jackson doesn't dare Headbutt any of the humans, knowing that the children are too squishy to do that to and doesn't dare invoke the wrath of his owner.
The following summer after comes around and Rina finds her love of plants and gardening while watching Jessie make new rows for her owner's vegetable patch. Curious about what the Bellsprout is doing with Vine Whip, she comes over and watches intently as the vines snake under the ground and disrupt the soil. When Jessie finishes each row, she goes through and uses a vine to make a tiny hole and continues on to the next row. Looking around, Rina spots the gardening equipment and goes to inspect those, the kindling for her passion of plants. Later that night, Rina brings this up to her family at dinner and mentions that she thinks she'd like "a plant-looking Pokèmon, like Jessie!" Her parents beam at her and tell her that they will think about it, but they have already made arrangements to get her a Pokèmon but are talking with the Breeder about whether she should get one as an Egg or a freshly hatched one, since Eggs always take time to hatch. Dakota, however, is getting into more trouble with Holly. No one is certain why, but they seem to have a bit of sibling rivalry going on. Jason and Rebecca merely shake their heads and allow them to duke it out, knowing that each will get their share. Jeff teaches his big sister Dakota about Jackson when she watches him put a Berry between the Scraggy and Jericho, causing the pup to help in pain and run away with his tail between his legs. Curious about it, she finds him doing it again with Taco, only to see that Jackson nearly knocks himself out on Taco's rock-like head. Dakota starts making plots against the Beak Pokèmon.
The next year rolls around and Taco evolves into Graveler following training practice gone awry with Jessie one evening. It went awry since several Murkrow decided they wanted to haze the poor Flower Pokèmon and Taco leaped to the rescue, using Rock Throw by compressing some of the dirt in the yard in his hands. Jessie used Sleep Powder and Stun Spore to slow them down, using one when the other wouldn't work or one wore off. It took a while, but Taco managed to get them to leave and, exhausted with the effort, collapsed and evolved in front of Rebecca and Rina when they went to see what was going on when Jessie screamed when one of the birds unsuccessfully attempted to use Drill Peck on her. Taco got ahold of that particular bird and it wasn't a pretty sight, and it only incensed the others to attack them with renewed vigor. Rebecca covered her mouth when she saw what the innocent Rock Pokèmon had done, but understood the need to do it. Ushering them all inside, she left the body behind to deal with later, more concerned with Taco's evolution and Jessie's well-being. Dakota and Holly, however, seemed to have formed a truce after the girl got Jackson to Headbutt the bird Pokèmon. Jeffrey has found the Headbutt trick to be old and now plays with Jericho, finding the Dark Pokèmon to be fun to play with, causing the boy's innocence to return and (temporarily, at least) give up his pranks.
When spring rolls around, Radio the Timburr comes into the family by way of family Breeder friend closing up shop. He's an immediate hit in the household, but quickly forms a rivalry with his elder, Jackson. Then, later in the year, an uproar is caused when Team Rocket reappears, causing everyone to worry and keep their Pokèmon away from open view, 'lest they be stolen again. Rina is worried about getting a Pokèmon and then it being stolen from her. Voicing her concerns to her parents, they nod in understanding and tell her that they just won't let it out into the open. Behind the scenes, they tell the Breeder this and she completely understands their daughter's concerns and tells them not to worry about it, especially since she doesn't have any Pokèmon to breed from yet since concerns about Team Rocket stealing Pokèmon is so high. Their parents keep their Pokèmon inside or, in Taco's case, in the basement with a sunlight-like lightbulb and plenty of plants around so that he doesn't get depressed and they regularly have meals when he can't properly wander around the house, despite his well-meaning. Rina starts acting more and more of her own personality and plays with Jackson sometimes or Jericho when she can steal him away from her little brother or plays in the dirt with Jessie (aka gardening). Dakota is becoming a bit more girly and starts kidnapping Holly for dress up, much to the bird's distaste. Jeffrey tries playing with Radio, but his parents don't allow it due to Radio's difficulty in controlling his strength. They do allow them to watch TV together and has Radio keep a watchful eye on the boy. Troy comes around as well, early in the year. Jeffrey is excited about this, while Dakota doesn't really care as long as she can paint Holly's beak as she has discovered the joys of oil-based paints. In Fall, Rina is presented with an Egg that is claimed to be near hatching, so she doesn't have to wait too long for it to hatch, but it'll still take about a month.
Soon enough, the next year comes around and Dakota and Holly have become actual friends with the mutual understanding of "Raah! Rrraahahh! Rrrahh!" or, "STAY AWAY FROM ME WITH THAT THING. STAY AWAY. I KNOW PECK." and sometimes Rebecca gets pulled into it because they freak out Jessie so badly. Rina has turned 18 and is considering going out to explore the world. Jeffrey is starting to play with Taco and Dakota is fashioning everyone Everstone necklaces (or other accessories). One goes on just about everyone and she manages to somehow slip one on Holly when she's not looking, but doesn't seem to mind it and in fact starts preening herself even more with it on. Radio is doing well with the family and is learning to control his strength by working with Taco. Troy has been doing well as well and is trying to chew on everything since he's running like a pro now. Jeffrey's reign of terror resumes by tormenting Jericho, though he's starting to fight back himself and they usually have to get pulled out of a fight, though it's not uncommon to see Jeff feeding Jericho scraps under the table. Later in the year, Taco and Radio get traded over to a friend of the family's to help assist them with some construction. While they aid in the construction, Radio learns more control and Taco loses his Everstone band and evolves later when he and Radio are traded back to Jason. Dakota is sad that Taco lost his band, but vows to make him a new one soon. Midway through the year, Rina's egg has hatched into a beautiful, bouncing baby Sunkern, prompting a party in celebration of the new family member and a strong bond between it and Jessie. It takes a few months, but they finally are able to get the Seed Pokèmon sexed, finding it to be a male, which leads to prayers of thanks that they named it CJ instead of something like Savannah. Dakota is frustrated that she can't fashion CJ an Everstone accessory. Our little Seed also causes some problems for his timidity and curiosity, freaking out when Jessie gets too close and causing stress for the family when he randomly disappears to look at anything that catches his eye, from that shiny thing on the table to some curious sound out in the woods. Oh, so much stress. The family wound up having to make the Sunkern a pen and training him to bringing a makeshift leash when he wanted to go look at something. As well as making sure that any doors left open were shut tight so that he couldn't open them.
When November of the next year comes, Rina decided that she would go out on her own, make her own way in life. She had wanted to do this earlier, but wasn't confident about it and was thoroughly depressed when she thought about leaving her family. Her departure was tear-filled and almost heart-breaking, but she had to do it, had to learn about the world through her eyes. Grabbing an old backpack, she filled it with the necessary items that she could think of and received some money and Pokèballs from her parents as going-away gifts. Dakota was absolutely up in arms about this development and Jessie was absolutely torn that her gardening-mate was leaving her when Rina's beloved partner told her what was going on. Taco merely nodded at the girl and her Pokèmon, since that was pretty much all he could do, and Jackson gave CJ a going-away Headbutt, practically knocking the poor thing out since, despite it's training with Jessie and Holly, it just wasn't big enough to withstand the stronger Pokèmon's loving attack.
Just as Rina was getting ready to leave in the car with her parents, Jessie came running up to the car with something held in her vines: a modified Berry pot with two bags stuffed into them, one was seeds and the other dirt, and a large spray bottle to go with them. Feeling tears come to her eyes, she took the items from the crying Bellsprout and hugged her tightly, "I'm gonna miss you, Jess... I'll write and call often," she released the Pokèmon and looked at her, "so don't worry, okay? This is hard for me, too." Looking up at the house she'd lived in for 19 years and the Pokèmon she'd grown up with, Rina felt her eyes burn and suddenly everything was swimming. Heart breaking again, for the umpteenth time that day, she choked back a sob and ran back to the house to give everyone there a hug, causing fresh tears to come from everyone there, even Holly, whom she didn't always agree with. "I'll write and call you all as often as I can. It'll won't seem like I'm far away I'll send letters so often and call at every chance I can get," she choked out, hot tears spilling down her cheeks. She suddenly felt 6 years old again, and fretted about her siblings and her parents Pokèmon but knew that they would be just fine without her. Dakota was shaping up to be a fine and responsible sister while Jeff was being a right little terror to some of the less-capable Pokèmon. Troy... Troy, being three, doesn't quite understand what's going on when his eldest sister leaves, but waves anyway with everyone else and is confused by their crying. Was something sad happening? Did someone get an ouchie? He's just hoping to get something to chew on.
A couple of years pass and Rina's wandered Johto pretty well. She has gained friends and lost them. Let them leave as they wish to help out others or to make their own path, but her first Pokèmon has stayed with her through thick and thin. She's sent many letters and received many phone calls, including one that has her little sister Dakota getting a two year old male Lillipup for her birthday, presumably from the same breeder as her own Pokèmon. Quickly named Tyson, Dakota was absolutely thrilled at having her own Pokèmon.
Another two year anniversary comes and with it more letters and phone calls with her family. Her travels has taught her a lot about things as well as growing plants on the go or, rather, plant on the go. Her parsley has grown, been eaten, died off, restarted, eaten, and died of, and has been restarted by way of randomly selected seed yet again. She's gathered a few seeds in her travels and has quite a few still left over from the packet that Jessie gave her before she left. The wandering gardening Trainer has also planted various seeds she's happened upon on her travels, hoping to do the land a bit more good and to get more carbon-converters going, though chances are highest that none of them took since she would just make a hole, drop the seed, cover it and water it before she left.
And now, coming up to "present-day", CJ has evolved at some point in their journey and is now a beautiful Sunflora and living with her family. The decision to leave the Sun Pokèmon wasn't easy by far since he was her very first Pokèmon, but an injury from a Flying-type has CJ somewhat disabled, paralyzed, really, and unable to move very well. Her drive to adventure has made the decision a heart-breaking one and has left her somewhat insecure of her abilities, but she has decided to come to Kanto, wanting to settle and trek the region for a change of page from her journeys throughout Johto. She's well familiar with the Pokemon that are there, but her first stop before she really does anything is the Lab for a new Pokèmon. She's sent word ahead already so that the Professor can get her a new Pokèmon ready to have a new journey with.
And so when Rina had finally gotten to get to Oak's lab, it's calm and peaceful - the total opposite of what she's used to from Elm's lab. Cheerful and soft-spoken, she talks at length with Oak about her journey and her concerns and finds her a good companion for her new journey. A Bulbasaur. It's not anything special in appearance, but it's demeanor shows that it's pretty determined, but also willing to go with the flow. She's nervous, but she knows that things will be just fine - she just has to trust in her partner.
The two became inseparable, especially when Team Rocket terrorized their family 2001.
