Full Name: Callie Sarah Johnson
Mini Profile Name Color: Really don't care.
Nicknames: Cal.
Age: 23
Birthday: May 1st
Gender: Female
Showdown ID: Freeform for now.
Starter Pokemon: Shiny Charmander ♀ Bandanna around her neck. Named Daja.
Appearance:

Callie has tanned skin, almost the color of honey, long crimpy/wavy dishwater blond hair and bright blue eyes, a scar on her right cheekbone, just below her eye. Her hair is usually pulled back into a crown braid to keep it out of the way, so you'd not often notice that it's naturally curly.
She stands at about five-foot, three inches and that's what she's sticking to. Weighing in at a slender 115 pounds, Callie tends to wear flared jeans or cargo pants and a tank top, occasionally she takes a hooded jacket with her if it looks like it's going to rain. For the exceptionally nice days, she can be seen wearing a sundress. Before she goes anywhere, she generally tends to throw on some makeup; a little lip-work, a bit of neutral/warm blush and something warm and smokey or something warm, shimmery and gold for her eyes.
Personality:
Hard-working and unafraid to get her hands dirty, Callie is one of those that strives for an imposing presence despite her smaller size. One might not think it, that she has a high-pitched voice, but she's actually got a fairly alto voice, one that can carry fairly well over distance, even though she normally is soft-spoken. She's not afraid to use if she must as she uses it to command her Pokèmon with confidence. And she is confident.
Confidence and a humble sense of pride in her work is one thing that has been with her since she was very young. Confidence and pride were pressed on the trainer while she was in elementary school, her parents telling her that as long as she tried her best, she would not be at fault in their eyes. And that included throwing the second swing and making sure that the other person wound up worse than she.
The dark side of Callie is one that many don't often expect. Explosive and violent, this breeder has a nasty reaction to being pissed off when someone flips that switch. Vindictive and changing from passive-aggressive to full-blown aggressive, Callie will forget using her Pokèmon to fight and jump into the foray herself, teeth bared and claws ready. It takes quite a bit to get her to this point, however. So most people are safe.
She can be quite kind and friendly, however, with those around her, provided they don't piss her off. Nurturing, loving, cuddly and huggable are part of her lighter side. Really, with those she feels are in her closer friends, she's much more touchy-feely with.
To find where her heart lies, however, one needs to only step into her bedroom where she has Bug-type pictures and sketches lying around. One needs to only bring her a Bug to brighten her day as she absolutely adores them in all of their adorableness, especially the bugs found in Kanto, Caterpie and Weedle.
Family:
Mother: Becky Lane, 47 | Becky owns a Snubbull named Pinkie, despite being male.
Father: Marshall Johnson, 50 | Marshall owns a Bouffalant named Jasmine (Jaz-MEEN), and is somewhat... undersized for her species. (Take off about 50 pounds and a foot from the standard size.)
Siblings: Rickie ♀ 24 // James ♂ 27 | Rickie owns a female Persian named Lucy and James owns a male Staraptor named Starhawk.
History:
Callie was born and raised in the forest town of Arborville, in Johto. She was somewhat home schooled for the most part and played with her siblings and friends while narrowly avoiding falling off the front porches of the houses she was playing around. She didn't much care for the forest floor at this time and so didn't know of the Pokèmon below. She was a spunky girl and always seemed to be able to find trouble, but hey, that's what being six was all about.
It was around the age of eight, however, that Callie had her first interaction with a wild Pokèmon. She had wanted to go out and play with her brother and sister, but her brother, James, didn't want his annoying little sister to come and ruin his fun with her GIRLYNESS, and her sister was currently in trouble for provoking Pinkie. So, with her parents distracted permission, Callie went out to wander. She decided she would go explore a new section of the town today and wandered a favorite path of hers and cheerfully went beyond it. Curiously the little girl explored, seeing new houses and vaguely familiar faces around them. After a little bit of wandering, she came across a Spearow squawking excitedly around a small Pokèmon, a rather timid-looking Ratatta. Confused as to why it was harassing the purple mouse, Callie watched on as it bounced around the scared Pokèmon, pecking at it. When she decided to take a nervous step forward, she drew it's attention, prompting it to attack her. An angry Spearow wielding a vicious Peck attack lunging at her, Callie could help but scream and cower under the relentless attack.
Obviously somebody heard her cry and suddenly she heard an abrupt squawk, that got as quickly cut off, Callie looked up to see the Spearow sitting nearby, sitting in a block of ice. Glancing around, she saw a Poliwhirl standing determinedly next to a very pretty lady. Sniffling, Callie stood and asked her who she was and told simply that she was one of the people in village and that her name was Serena Carter. Curiously, the Poliwhirl wandered up to the scared little girl, looking her over and making sure she was okay. Nodding to Callie, it turned around and nodded at the woman and wandered back to her. Rubbing her eyes, Callie introduced herself and smiled weakly and asked about the strange blue Pokèmon. "Oh? That's Terry. He's one of my best friends and beloved partners. Do you know what kind of Pokèmon he is?" Smiling shyly, Callie merely shook her head and was told that he was a Poliwhirl, a Water-type Pokèmon. Serena grinned at the girl and said her goodbye and walked off, Callie, excited about what had just happened, ran back to her home to tell her parents about the event, only to find herself in trouble for provoking a wild Pokèmon, but then soothed as her parents cleaned up her scratches and cuts from the attack. She didn't learn a whole lot from this event, other than that Pokèmon were exciting and she wanted one. And she made plans to have her own.
Callie didn't have another experience with a wild Pokèmon for some time after this until she was around 12 when her father took her to the ground to find himself his own Pokèmon and he knew how much she wanted to have another experience. Callie hadn't been on the ground but only a couple times before and didn't realize that she could find more Pokèmon down there. Eyes wide and bubbling with excitement, Callie excitedly agreed to go with her father to help him find a companion. Long story short, they roamed for a couple days to find her father a companion and they finally found a young Bouffalant that wouldn't leave them be. The girl couldn't help but melt over the expression of adoration it had on it's face and suggest to her father that they choose it. Her father argued it a bit, saying that it was probably too young and that it had to stay with it's herd, to which Callie said that they weren't anywhere near it's herd. After some begging and saying that they could have a pen on the ground for it, Callie convinced her dad to offer it a Luxury Ball to which the Bash Buffalo Pokèmon curiously inspected then pressed her nose against the button. With no resistance at all, the Ball beeped it's success and Callie grinned at her dad - they had a new member of the family. When they got back to the town and had introductions, Callie's mom was understandably not too thrilled with the heavy quadruped, but they worked something out with the town so that they could get a secured pen on the ground near their home. The Bouffalant was later named Jasmine, pronounced Jaz-MEEN.
Callie had a blast after that. Pinkie was rather snobby and her sister was having more fun with friends she made around the village and her brother was finding girls, even his sister, to be icky. Callie absolutely loved playing with Jasmine and this is where our story gets a bit more interesting. It was a few years after catching the newest member of the family that our story begins to wind up.
Ultimately, Jasmine bonded closely to Callie's father despite all of her efforts and frequent visits. Callie tried for years to get the buffalo to respond to her commands, but it never worked out - for some reason she just responded better, quicker, more happily to the young woman's father. Finally, fed up with trying, Callie begged her parents to write to the local professor in Johto to help her begin her journey as a Trainer. Anything to get her own Pokèmon and start a journey of her own.
Callie's parents were understandably upset with the brash decision and tried to talk her out of it, arguing that it there were better opportunities in another town or city to gain a new Pokèmon and start her own life. She did get worn down, and almost did do it, but she couldn't ultimately convince herself - it turned into a romantic dream of hers to do this. Soon enough, Callie's parents relented and wrote to Professor Elm, but things did not go as they had planned.
News of Team Rocket had spread and Elm, noting Callie's age and enthusiasm, passed her information over to Professor Oak, the renowned head of Pokèmon research. Soon enough, Callie's family had their answer. Minus one detail. Oak contacted Callie directly about the Team Rocket issue as it had not spread to Johto yet due it not being a big enough issue yet. From the way Oak spoke of it, Callie knew it was a big issue and had plans to help stop it. When the letter arrived to her parents, Callie played the part of ecstatic daughter because it meant she would indeed have her own personal partner and her own personal journey. Parents less than happy, they called Oak to argue with him about their daughter going to Kanto on her own but ultimately relented as she was of legal age, just upset that she was travelling so far to a strange country to do gods only knew what.
Soon, voucher for a ferry in hand, Callie took her first steps to her new partner and journey in Kanto.
