Full Name: Lyndis Agrias Hawthorn
Mini Profile Name Color: A Light Silver
Nicknames: Lyn, Senior Executive Hawthorn, Dragon-Type Lady (In hushed whispers)
Age: 27 years old
Birthday: 21st of March
Gender: Female
Showdown ID: clowkun
Starter Pokemon: Male Bulbasaur. Nickname Kasor.
Appearance:
Personality: Some key words to described Lyn is the most basic of terms. Professional, Quirky, Inventive, Curious, and Thrifty. Though we can of course go into a bit more detail.
If one was to meet Lyn in a formal setting, they would most likely describe her as polite, respectful, personable, and a conversationalist. And while this business persona is a prompt aspect that is very well a part of Lyn, it borders on being a mask. While not on the clock, Lyn is more crass, hyperactive, and overall intense in nature. She’s often grinning in a manic manner, her enthusiasm being something even she can have a hard time holding back. Though when frowning she’ll often be tapping her feet and fingers, her patients running dangerously thin when in a foul mood.
She takes her career very seriously, treating the company as her own. This can come off as endearing, or obsessive depending on the situation. But it’s clear she certainly takes pride in her work and company standing. She also has a twinge of greed. While not fully selfish, she is money grubbing and thrifty. Savoring deals and pinching her pennies, but still going all out when it comes to gifts for key people. And though she’s too smart to dig herself too deep into debt, she does put money aside just for gambling.
To these end’s she’ll often threaten to fine people for wasting her time, for any reason really. She also cares little for black and white values and viewpoints. While not completely morally lacking, she’s very flexible in such dealings as long as it’s not inhumane, and is good for business. While she can fly off the handle, she’s not necessarily quick tempered, but once it’s earned, her hatred burns deep. She’ll go to most any lengths to satisfy a vendetta.
Her greatest desire is to rise from her status of senior executive, to vice president, and she makes this no secret. And while she is often described as too clever for her own good, she does have a hard time holding back, an office setting being the perfect restraint for her manic tendencies.
Family:
Apollo Hawthorn: Father, Hotel Manager in Celadon.
Olivia Hawthorn: Mother, Owns specialty clothing store in Saffron.
History: Lyn’s parents are technically foreigners, both growing up in Sinnoh, though Lyn couldn’t really tell you anything about it, being born shortly after they moved. Apollo had actually moved to Celadon in hopes to work in the nearby metropolis of Saffron. And so he did throughout Lyndis’ childhood. It was overall rather idyllic, they made enough to afford top notch education, and they never wanted for much. Though Lyn soon showed to be a bit odd when compared to the other children. While many girls would enjoy crafting flower enragements after class, Lyn spent much of her spare time in the local game corner.
Things went rather smoothly, until her father’s company went under. The few years of unemployment were rough, though eventually a job as a hotel manager fell into his lap through a family friend. Though the family was finally stable and the hotel thrived under the management of both of her parents, it turned out to lead to stress on their marriage. When Lyndis reached her mid to late teens her parents got divorced. It honestly wasn’t all that traumatic of an event given the circumstances. Olivia had worked with her sisters in the past selling specialty clothing. While the market for that wasn’t very strong in Celadon, Saffron was begging for something of that nature. Medical apparel, work wear of all sorts, suits o all kinds, even a line of Gi’s for the popular Dojo, catering to the highly business centric city paid off well.
It was actually visiting her mother that led Lyndis to the opportunity of her lifetime. By the time she graduated she was part timing as a waitress at a local café in Celadon, and interning at Silph Corp. Thankfully it didn’t take long for her to acquire a paying position. She put her forward mindedness to good use; land herself in the Research and Development department. She took great pride in being involved in some big projects, such as the spectral viewing scope, and initiative #137. She climbed in the company ladder with vigor, through… mostly reputable means. Recently, the now senior executive was taking a little time to herself, trying to increase her hoard of game corner coins. But when she tried to return to her apartment in Saffron, when she found the town to be in lockdown.
With a little digging she was able to find out why. Honestly she had never minded Team Rocket that much, their activates never registered much, and they seemed to follow her own creed of “As long as it’s good business.” Even seeing the grunts around her own hometown never really bothered her. But now they were messing with her bottom line. She was honestly ready to unleash her rage, when she realized her pokemon were technically company owned, and resided back at the home office. While not an uncommon practice, this fact in hindsight embarrassed the young women. She would be sure to fix such an oversight, as she started to formulate a plan to take her company back by force.
