Mitchell felt the teleportation begin to dip, and bent his knees so he wouldn't be sent sprawling as he had beforehand. Because of this, he only stumbled a few feet before righting himself.
"You've certainly improved on your recovery since we started for your training," A voice chuckled, and Mitchell turned to see his literally psychic mentor looking at him in amusement. Mitchell scratched the back of his head, and groaned in embarrassment from being reminded of his early training. "Hey, I've improved a lot better than that!" He said, and his mentor gave a small grin and a nod in agreement. As he nodded, a thought seemed to strike the man, and he checked his watch before letting out a curse at the time.
"I've got to get going, I'm late for the company meeting!" He said as he got ready to teleport, then looked at Mitchell and gave a quick salute before saying, "Good luck on your journey, Mitchell, and be sure to visit me when you're in Saffron!," He said to Mitchell, then disappeared in a mauve flash. With his mentor now gone, Mitchell only stared at the the spot where his mentor was for a few seconds before turning towards Professor Oak's lab, which he could see in the distance, then walked towards the building. After fifteen minutes or so, he finally reached the building, and, seeing that the door was open, entered the building. "Um, hello? Is anyone there?" Mitchell asked aloud as he walked down the hallway, and stopped as he noticed a flyer on the wall, telling of a Spearow infestation near the town that was terrorizing a farmer.
"I'll have to go check that out later. After all, a Spearow is a great Flying-type pokemon to train with, albeit a tad tempermental," He mused as he read the flyer, then set it down as he heard something move further in the building. "Who's there?" He asked as he turned towards the sound, and walked deeper into the building.
