With the previous turn, Jin officially had two Pokémon. His original Bulbasaur and a brand new Mankey. A smile plastered against his tanned face. The Bug Catcher from before warning him that the Forest before them was dangerous and teaming with venomous Weedles, annoying Caterpie and the like; although nothing too much for the rising Pokémon Trainer. Jin, holding and tossing his new Pokémon's ball up and catching it a multitude of times, his Bulbasaur nestled against his neck adorably. The Grass type recovering from the previous battle with the once wild Mankey. Jin himself was fine and ready to go on with his journey, recording the event on his Pokédex in a matter of seconds.
“Gotta say, Bulb. It was pretty tough of you to take on this little fuse. Good job, on that.” Jin praised his starter, nuzzling the tiny thing in his head gently. He was proud of his little battler. As he did so, the Kogjinka had stepped out into the shady forest of Viridian, the place holding true to the title it was given times before. The only thing negative was how deep it looked, just from the entrance alone.
“Incredible..Bulb, I think you should rest. Gosho will take your place.” Jin warned, raising Bulbasaur's Pokéball to allow entry, go which was gratefully taken. Instead, Gosho was revealed and popped out, tapping the grass and scratching it's fuzzy head with a brow paw. Exhaling steam from its nostril, still rather annoyed with Jin's action of capturing it. Surely, she'd get over her capture sometime...right? Of course she would.
“Woah..its really teaming..there are Caterpie crawling in the trees..Weedles hanging from branches..is that a Venonat?” Jin was in awe. Gosho still stamping on the floor before running toward a tree and swinging across branch to branch, guiding Jin. He followed instinctively, noting how the grass rustled beneath his sneakers and how the scent of grass permeated the air. The pure darkness and bare light that managed to pierce the trees shining over his thick, tied back hair. His eyes remained on the swinging Mankey, not noticing that he was practically running through the tall grass and exiting it at the same time.
“Go..! Slow down, will ya?” He called to Mankey, forcing himself to rush forward after the primate Pokémon stopped and hung upside down from a thick branch, mocking his slowness with a short of its pig-like nose. The trainer rolling his eyes as he stopped and bent over, hands on knees to guff and regain his breath. “Darn..” He complained, looking around and up. Noticing that some of the Bug Catchers remained and refilled the forest alike.
Resilient, Jin had to admit.
